Tao Comedy Studio is an intersectional feminist comedy space and Los Angeles’ Premier StandUp Comedy School. Conveniently located on Western Avenue in Koreatown, two blocks South of Beverly Blvd (between 1st and 2nd). Owned by 30+ year veteran comedian and comedy coach Bobbie Oliver (author of The Tao of Comedy: Embrace the Pause) and husband writer/comedian Chris Oliver, Tao Comedy Studio prides itself on being an inclusive, safe space for comedy with an amazing Zen vibe.

Tao Comedy Studio offers the best StandUp comedy classes in LA, based on the principles of The Tao of Comedy. In addition to our comedy classes, we also have open mics, comedy shows and festivals , a Comedians Depression Support Group and other events in Los Angeles. Our beautiful studio is also available for rent for your event.

The next round of Tao of Comedy Standup Workshops with Bobbie Oliver start back Sunday,March 23rd @1pm and Thursday, April 3rd@7:30pm. The Joke Writing Intensive starts Friday, April 4th @6pm.

You get FREE OPEN MICS during the session, and you can make up a class you have to miss! Payment plans available. THESE CLASSES WILL FILL UP, so don’t hesitate or you’ll miss out!!

Signups start 30 MINUTES BEFORE each open mic IN PERSON. Show up/signup.
